Committee Overview

The Regulatory & Environmental Committee at the Colorado Ready Mixed Concrete Association (CRMCA) serves as a collaborative platform for members to stay informed on key regulatory, permitting, and environmental issues affecting the concrete industry across Colorado. Working closely with state and federal agencies, this committee advocates for sensible environmental policies while helping members maintain compliance and sustainability in their operations.

As environmental expectations evolve, the committee provides expert guidance and fosters a proactive industry voice in regulatory discussions—ensuring ready mixed concrete producers remain informed, compliant, and engaged.


Key Initiatives

  • Regulatory Monitoring & Advocacy: Track and respond to proposed regulations and legislation from agencies such as CDPHE, EPA, and CDOT, ensuring CRMCA members are represented and equipped with timely updates.
  • Environmental Compliance Support: Provide resources, best practices, and peer collaboration to help members navigate permitting, reporting, and compliance obligations related to air, water, and materials management.
  • Sustainability and Innovation: Promote the adoption of sustainable practices in concrete production, including the use of SCMs (supplementary cementitious materials), low-carbon mix designs, and energy-efficient technologies.
  • Member Education & Technical Resources: Host training sessions, webinars, and guest presentations to keep members up-to-date on compliance strategies, environmental innovations, and agency expectations.
