Committee Overview
The CRMCA Governmental Affairs Committee is a shared initiative with the Colorado Stone, Sand & Gravel Association (CSSGA), ensuring a unified and influential voice at the State Capitol and beyond. This committee monitors legislation, engages with lawmakers, and supports policy efforts that protect and promote Colorado’s ready mixed concrete industry.
By fostering relationships with regulatory agencies and elected officials, the committee helps shape policies that align with the realities of the construction materials industry—ensuring concrete remains a safe, sustainable, and economically viable building solution across Colorado.

Key Initiatives
- Legislative Monitoring & Advocacy: Track key legislation at the state and federal level and respond to proposed bills impacting the concrete, construction, and infrastructure sectors.
- Lobbying and Industry Representation: Work directly with elected officials, agency staff, and allied organizations to advocate for fair regulations, funding opportunities, and infrastructure investment.
- Political Action Committee (PAC) Engagement: CRMCA supports a voluntary PAC, which helps elect pro-industry candidates and ensures our members’ voices are heard during election cycles.
- Member Communication: Provide members with timely updates on relevant legislation, regulatory actions, and advocacy opportunities through emails, meetings, and event briefings.
