The CRMCA is partnering again this year with the Colorado State University (CSU) in Ft. Collins to provide ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician Grade I certifications to students. Students from both Civil Engineering and Construction Management departments will be participating! A total of about 90 students will go through two weeks of ACI education/training and certification this Fall semester. The program will occur on the CSU Ft. Collins campus from October 10 through October 20, 2023. Expected days will last from 8:00 or 9:00 am until 5:00 or 6:00 pm.
We are looking to you, our CRMCA members, for assistance during laboratory practice and Supplementary Examination (SE/Proctoring) during testing. Below is a brief schedule of the program and the number of CRMCA member volunteers we are requesting for assistance. The schedule details may change slightly, but this is what to expect overall. During the Performance examinations in the second week, all volunteers MUST be ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician Grade I certified.
We currently need volunteers as noted below. Please respond ASAP to help out!
- October 10, Tuesday
- Lecture presentation; 9:00am to 9:50am.
- Two sessions of Laboratory training; demonstrations and hands-on education; 11:00am to 5:00pm.
- October 11, Wednesday
- Morning session of open practice for any students to practice hands-on procedures; 10:00am to 2:00pm
- Afternoon session of Laboratory training; demonstrations and hands-on education; 2:00pm to 5:00pm.
- October 12, Thursday
- Three sessions of Laboratory training; demonstrations and hands-on education; 9:00am to 5:00pm.
- October 13, Friday
- Open practice all day for any students to continue hands-on procedures; 10:00am to 4:00pm.
- October 16, Monday
- Open practice all day for any students to continue hands-on procedures; 10:00am to 4:00pm.
- Possible Laboratory performance exams in the afternoon.
- October 17, Tuesday
- Laboratory performance examination by student appointment; 9:00am to 5:00pm; limit of 4-5 students/1.5 hours.
- October 18, Wednesday
- Laboratory performance examination by student appointment; 9:00am to 5:00pm; limit of 4-5 students/1.5 hours.
- October 19, Thursday
- Laboratory performance examination by student appointment; 9:00am to 5:00pm; limit of 4-5 students/1.5 hours.
- October 20, Friday
- Laboratory performance examination by student appointment; 9:00am to 5:00pm; limit of 4-5 students/1.5 hours.
