With summer finally making its way to Colorado I am sure we are all busy trying to get as much product out the door as possible before the next change in weather. Keeping trucks on the road, on time, filled with quality product and customers satisfied is sure to be at the top of everyone’s mind.

That being said, I encourage members to take a minute to look back on a very busy legislative session and to assess our wins and losses. We can also take the time to look ahead to the elections in November that will shape the legislature for next year. Our legislative committee is already gearing up for another busy session next year. To aid in their efforts I would like to encourage everyone to contribute to the Concrete Pac and Rock Pac, if you are able, to help us work to elect industry friendly legislators.

Also looking ahead, our Regulatory and Environmental committees are working diligently to develop templates for the soon to be required Toxic Air Contaminants (TAC) monitoring thresholds. To lean more about this or other important items that continue to impact our industry reach out to Emma at emma@coloradocaa.org to get involved or learn more.

Notably, the new Tech Tuesday Educational Seminar series put on by the Technical Committee continues to be a success. The series to date has had over 200 registrants and YouTube views of the completed series continue to rise. The next seminar will be held on Tuesday July 9th.

A few events to look forward to in the coming months are:

Enjoy your summer and please stay involved in our association, your participation is critical to our success.
