Workbooks are not included in exam registration. If you would like to receive a Workbook, it must be purchased separately.

Workbooks are sent out weekly. If you have not received your workbook(s) within 2 weeks of ordering, please email us for your tracking details. There are no refunds on workbooks once they have been shipped.

If the exam you’re purchasing the workbook for is within the next 2 weeks, please email us with the exam you’re registered for, the name of the individual registered for the exam (if not you), and the date of the exam so we can attempt to expedite the shipping. Expedited shipping is not guaranteed therefore materials should be purchased as early as possible to ensure no delay in preparation for an upcoming exam.

Please note: ACI Policy states: “Candidates choosing to use resource materials must possess either official/original ACI-printed materials, or printed permission from the copyright holder accompanying their printed/photocopied materials.”

As a Local Sponsoring Group for ACI certifications, CRMCA is required to enforce ACI Policy, therefore any unauthorized (i.e., copied) materials will be immediately confiscated by the Examiner of Record if brought to an exam session. Please ensure only official/original materials are being utilized to avoid any disruption to your testing process.

To add more than one of the same workbook to your order, either continue to click the “Add” button for that item until you’re desired quantity has been reached, or add it once and then scroll to the bottom of the list of workbooks where your selected items are shown and change the dropdown quantity to the desired total.

A Concrete Field Testing Technician – Grade I is an individual who has demonstrated the knowledge and ability to properly perform and record the results of seven basic field tests on freshly mixed concrete. Once all portions of the exam are passed, the certification is valid through ACI for 5 years. CRMCA does not keep record of certifications or results.

The Concrete Field Testing Technician–Grade I Training provides an opportunity for new and existing personnel to understand basic field concrete testing procedures and why they are necessary. The training will encompass the seven (7) ASTM Standards contained within the ACI Field Concrete Testing Technician certification, which is required for most testing technicians on nearly all project sites. The training is not required prior to registration of a certification session for individuals, though is highly recommended as an introduction and/or refresher on the requirements of the certification. The one-day course full of both in class presentation and hands-on practice is free to CRMCA members.

This training does NOT include the study manual or exam.

A Concrete Strength Testing Technician is an individual who has demonstrated the knowledge and ability to properly perform, record, and report the results of four basic ASTM laboratory procedures related to the determination of concrete compressive and flexural strength.

An Aggregate Testing Technician – Level 2 is an individual who has demonstrated the knowledge and ability to properly perform, record, and report the results of advanced laboratory procedures for aggregates. ACI states individuals must possess a current certification as an Aggregate Testing Technician – Level 1 to grant certification of Aggregate Testing Technician – Level 2. CRMCA recommends registrants already be certified as an Aggregate Testing Technician – Level 1 prior to scheduling this certification. 2025 ACI Aggregate Testing Technician Level 2 Exam Registration

A Concrete Laboratory Testing Technician – Level 2 is an individual who has demonstrated the knowledge and ability to properly perform, record, and report the results of advanced laboratory procedures for aggregates and concrete. ACI states individuals must possess a current certification in ACI Concrete Laboratory Testing Technician – Level 1. A person having concurrent certifications in ACI Concrete Strength Testing Technician and Aggregate Testing Technician – Level 1 is equivalent to the Laboratory Testing Technician – Level 1 certification. Individuals must also have one year (2000 hours) of work experience in concrete and concrete aggregate laboratory testing. Please see the Work Experience Form to complete and submit your experience requirements. Once all portions of the exam are passed, the certification is valid through ACI for 5 years. An Aggregate Base Testing Technician is an individual who has demonstrated the knowledge and ability to properly perform, record, and report the results of basic field and laboratory procedures for fine aggregates and soils. 2025 ACI Aggregate Base Testing Technician Exam Registration

A Concrete Flatwork Associate (formerly Concrete Flatwork Technician) is an individual who has demonstrated the knowledge (via a written examination) on proper procedures to place, consolidate, finish, edge, joint, cure, and protect concrete flatwork.

A Concrete Flatwork Finisher (formerly Concrete Flatwork Tradesman) is an individual who has demonstrated the knowledge (via a hand-on performance examination) necessary to place, consolidate, finish, edge, joint, cure, and protect concrete flatwork, but lacks sufficient work experience to qualify as a concrete flatwork finisher.

An Advanced Concrete Flatwork Finisher (formerly Concrete Flatwork Finisher and Technician) is a craftsman who has demonstrated the knowledge AND skills and/or experience necessary to place, consolidate, finish, edge, joint, cure, and protect concrete flatwork.

CRMCA does not keep record of certifications or results. 

Note, the in-person courses offered include a half-day refresher/review prior to the written exam only. The CRMCA does NOT provide the on-hands performance exam to meet the requirements of a Concrete Flatwork Finisher. If the appropriate work experience is met, an individual can complete the written exam and complete the Experience Form (prior to their scheduled session) to obtain the title Advanced Concrete Flatwork Finisher. A Self-Consolidating Concrete Testing Technician is an individual who has demonstrated the knowledge of and ability to properly perform five standard test methods and practices on self-consolidating concrete.

2025 ACI Self-Consolidating Concrete Testing Technician Exam Registration

A Specialty Commercial/Industrial Concrete Flatwork Finisher & Technician is a person who has demonstrated a basic knowledge of finishing procedures for Specialty Commercial/Industrial Concrete Flatwork Finishing, including high tolerance floor construction, application of surface treatments, and silica fume concrete, and who has demonstrated skill in operating mechanized finishing equipment. A Technician lacks sufficient work experience and verified skills needed to qualify as a Specialty Commercial/Industrial Concrete Flatwork Finisher & Technician.

A Decorative Concrete Flatwork Finisher is a craftsman who has demonstrated knowledge about and the ability to place, finish, cure, and protect decorative concrete flatwork. An Associate lacks sufficient work experience to qualify as a Decorative Concrete Flatwork Finisher. Please see the Work Experience Form to complete and submit your experience requirements.

Please contact CRMCA regarding scheduling this certification. The availability of this certification is dependent on demand.

A Concrete Construction Special Inspector is a person qualified to inspect and record the results of concrete construction inspection based on codes and job specifications. The program covers inspection during preplacement, placement, and post-placement operations.

A Concrete Transportation Construction Inspector is a person who has demonstrated proficiency in concrete inspection methods for transportation projects, including preplacement, placement, and post-placement operations. A Concrete Transportation Construction Inspector-in-Training is a person who has demonstrated knowledge in concrete inspection methods for transportation projects, but does not have the experience required to qualify as an ACI Concrete Transportation Construction Inspector.

A Construction Inspector Certification is required for any person who inspects concrete pavement on CDOT projects.  For CDOT concrete paving projects, either the ACI Concrete Transportation Construction Inspector or this course will be accepted.

If you previously took a certification exam but did not pass either one or both portions, you are able to register to retake the exam.

• • If the last attempt was completed in 2024, follow the same registration process that you would for a first time registration as detailed above.
  • If you are registering yourself to a take a retest and this will not be your first attempt this year, follow a similar process to your first registration but this time click the “Modify My Registration” option and then click “Add to my registration”. Proceed normally to complete the registration. Please be sure to double check the total due to confirm that you are only being charged for your newest registration and that any appropriate discounts have been applied. If you believe your total is incorrect, please take a screenshot of the page showing the incorrect total and email it to aci@coloradocaa.org so we can assist, including in the email the date and exam you are attempting to register for so we can take a look.
  • If you are registering someone else for a retest and you previously registered them to take their latest attempt this year, your process will be different. You will still follow the same link you would to access the registration page for any other registration, but you will not click the gold “Register” button to proceed. Instead, follow these steps:
    1. Click on your name in blue in the upper right corner of the registration site for the selected exam.
    2. Click on My Events.
    3. Click on the My Events drop-down and select the name of the person whose additional registration you are trying to complete.
    4. If this person has been registered for more than one exam topic (i.e., Field 1, Strength, Agg 1, etc.) or for other CRMCA/CSSGA events, you may see multiple rows listed for them. Click the gold Details button next to the exam topic you need to register them for.
    5. Click Modify Registration Selections
    6. Proceed normally to complete the registration.

    Please be sure to double check the total due to confirm that you are only being charged for your newest registration and that any appropriate discounts have been applied.   A few things to note:

  • Registration for an exam through the CRMCA only covers one attempt. If you need to retake an exam, whether in full or in part, you do have to register for the exam and there is a cost associated.
  • Individuals must pass both the written and the performance exams, as appropriate, within one year of each other to be considered for certification.
  • CRMCA does not score exams or maintain results. If you are unsure of which portion of an exam you need to retake, please contact ACI at aci.certification@concrete.org or (248) 848-3790 to verify your results.
