Hello CRMCA members. Summer is moving quickly with the warm temperatures. September and Labor Day are just ahead, and beyond that is the fall season. I hope you are enjoying this great weather while you can.
Here is what is going on with your Ready Mixed Association.
- Governmental Affairs
- CONCRETE PAC Contributions: As we are in an election year, we are very active with the CONCRETE PAC. It is not too late to contribute, and I urge everyone to contribute to the CONCRETE PAC that we have established. Companies and individuals can contribute up the $550 towards the PAC, which enables us to support candidates that support our industry.
Recent Events:
- Mixer Truck Driver Championship. Our inaugural Mixer Truck Driver Championship was a huge success. The event took place on August 20 at Jeffco Stadium in Lakewood. Thirteen drivers competed overall with the competition consisting of a written test, driving skills and safety pre-check competition. Congratulations to our winners,

- 1st Place – Lenny Bemis with Action Ready Mix
- 2nd Place – Talon Bow with Holcim South i.e. Transit Mix
- 3rd Place – Sisto Ortega with Peak Ready Mix

- Upcoming Events:
- NRMCA’s ConcreteWorks and PCA’s Fall Committee Meetings will be held at the Gaylord Hotel in Aurora September 29 – October 3 this year. JT Mesite and I will be presenting on out CTAC program. - The Annual Conference will take place December 6 – 7 at the Broadmoor Hotel in Colorado Springs. Look for details and registration soon.
