Happy New Year. Like you, I was devastated to watch the recent Marshall Fire grip our community. This area is very special to me. I moved to Colorado 21 years ago and Superior is where I called home. I met my wife there, and we loved the breathtaking beauty and urban vibe that the area provided. Watching the tragedy unfold, I couldn’t help but think that it shouldn’t be happening. In fact, our industry offers a clear solution to fast spreading wildfires, specifically the one that occurred a couple weeks ago. We should be emboldened now more than ever to introduce concrete as the primary building material for homes in Colorado. Those impacted by the fire are our friends, family and colleagues. We mourn their loss of home, security, and the intangible including memories, irreplaceable photos and keepsakes. Here is information on how to help those affected by the disaster. The CRMCA will continue to advocate for robust building codes so our community can build back safer than ever.
- CRMCA Roadmap to the Future – On Monday, January 31, at the 2022 Ski Retreat in Breckenridge, CRMCA members will have an opportunity to contribute to the CRMCA’s Roadmap to the Future. This exercise will focus on the 4 pillars of CRMCA:

Members will review the current state of these areas and contribute ideas for the future direction of the association. This roadmap, along with member feedback, will help shape the CRMCA’s updated strategic plan which will be presented to the Board of Directors in July, and finalized at the 2022 Annual Members Meeting in November.
