Welcome to the June 2017 CRMCA Blog. With the Fourth of July holiday weekend approaching I expect many of you are staying busy with work, family, and travel! See below for CRMCA updates including the Build With Strength initiative, Testing Adherence Program, and the upcoming CRMCA Summer Conference.
The Build With Strength (BWS) steering committee, led by Oliver Brooks of Martin Marietta, has been working to being integrating the BWS mission into the CRMCA organizational structure through advocacy, business development, and communications. The BWS Advocacy Task Force continues to meet on a regular basis to discuss interagency collaboration and pertinent advocacy issues. Contact JT Mesite to participate. The Business Development Task Force is currently surveying local builders, developing presentations, and working with the ICF community to spread the BWS message. Looking for a way to get involved? Mark your calendars and register to attend the Southern Market Committee’s BWS Training on August 3 at the Great Wolf Lodge in Colorado Springs. The Communications Task Force has begun to integrate the BWS message into the CRMCA’s social media and eNews campaigns while utilizing other publications to continue to spread the message beyond our industry. To all NRMCA members, please remember to add the BWS logo and web link to your email signature!
With both the Testing Adherence Program’s iPhone app and web form fully functional the program has seen an uptick in submissions over the last couple of months. The Android app is currently in the development process and we hope to have it completed by mid-July. In addition, JT continues to pursue the executive, lab, and producer reporting aspect of the program. He will be presenting an in-depth overview of the program’s status during the July 20 board meeting.
CRMCA’s Annual Summer Conference will take place July 20-21 in Vail, CO. This is a great opportunity for networking in a beautiful mountain setting and I hope I will see you there.
