NRMCA’s Promoter of the Year Award was recently presented to Dave Gray at their annual convention in Las Vegas for his outstanding contributions in support of concrete promotion. Dave is a Market Manager for GCC of America, which is a portland cement and ready mixed concrete producer headquartered in Denver, CO. Dave has been in the cement and concrete industry for 26 years and with GCC of America since 2006. His father-in-law, Dave Nystrom, former owner of C & M Concrete Companies recruited Dave into the industry. In recent years, Dave has become deeply involved in the promotion of concrete overlays of asphalt parking lots. Dave is currently working with NRMCA Vice President, Don Clem. Together, they have successfully converted a 28,000 sq. ft. parking lot overlay for the City of Thornton, CO. When the project is completed in the spring of 2017, it will be used to show how concrete overlays can correct existing drainage problems.
