Benjamin J. Ross is an associate in Jackson Kelly’s Occupational Safety and Health and Litigation Practice Groups resident in the Denver, Colorado, office. Mr. Ross’ practice focuses upon representing clients in a variety of matters under the Federal Mine Safety and Health Act, Occupational Safety and Health Act, Motor Carrier Safety Improvement Act, and other state and federal statutes regarding compliance issues, policy, legislative and regulatory matters, civil and criminal enforcement issues, accident investigations, and special investigations. He also represents clients in a wide range of litigation.
Mr. Ross previously served as a law clerk to the Honorable Richard W. Manning, Administrative Law Judge, Federal Mine Safety and Health Review Commission, where he researched and drafted decisions and orders addressing a variety of issues including agent liability, miner compensation, and discrimination claims. He regularly served as the settlement attorney for cases involving civil penalties and discrimination complaints.
