Todd Ohlheiser with Gubernatorial Candidate Bob Beauprez.

Hello CRMCA members,

Welcome to the September association update.  Plenty is happening and here are the highlights:

  • Our Governmental Affairs Committee has been very active.  As you are aware, the campaign season is well underway, and we are busy interviewing various candidates to determine support.  As an outcome of this process, we will contribute PAC money to candidates whose priorities align with our industry and initiatives.  The PAC is the CRMCA managed Political Action Committee, and an important part of helping to elect business friendly candidates.  We need your help in this endeavor so please consider a contribution of a few dollars, up to the maximum of $550 dollars.
  • Also, this year we will be establishing a list of candidates the Governmental Affairs Committee recommends endorsing.  Everyone is strongly encouraged to get out and vote for the candidate of your choice.  If individuals have questions on which candidate to choose, we hope our endorsement list provides valuable information in your decision.  Our PAC contributions and endorsements, along with our involvement with various fundraisers can make a difference.
  • Additionally, hand in hand with the PAC, we are pleased to roll out our new Grassroots program.  This is a simple way to get involved in the political and community outreach process, many times, right in your our neighborhood.  Another webinar will be held September 23rd at 9:00 am to explain the program and how you can get involved. Please click here to learn more and register.
  • Our ACI certification program remains a high priority with certifications at near record levels.  This program is critical to our industry in in assuring quality standards remain high.
  • Also, our Pre-Construction Checklist is a tremendous success and has been well received.  Everyone is strongly encouraged to use this tool to improve communication and proactively deal with jobsite situations before they turn into problems.  This Checklist is available to anyone and should be used as often as possible.
  • Our other committees have been equally active, and I encourage you to review their activities in the Committee Update section.

Thank you very much for your ongoing support of our industry and CRMCA!  Please contact myself, Stacy or Annelise if there is something more we can do to help your business.
