Welcome to the CRMCA update for November, 2014.  While the year is coming to an end, there remains a lot to accomplish in a short amount of time.  Below are brief updates on the focus areas:

  • Make your voice heard at the ballot box!!!  Hopefully, you have cast your ballot for the candidate and issue of your choice.  If not, drop off your ballot at a drop box in your county no later than 7 pm Tuesday, Nov. 4th.  Remember, the CRMCA Endorsement list can be used as a guide to support those candidates that support our industry.  If you are undecided on your choice, please use it as a reference.  This election will be determined by voter turnout, so your vote , and that of your family and working companions does matter!
  • Also, on a related topic, be sure to return the application for the CRMCA/CSSGA Grassroots program award.  This award is meant to recognize individuals and companies who have engaged in the political and community outreach process.  Click here for more information and to download the application.
  • Our ACI certification program remains a high priority with certifications at near record levels.  We are pleased to announce that beginning Jan, 2015, Cesare, Inc. will lead our ACI certification program and be the primary supplier as our ACI “Examiner of Record” for the Denver certifications. Michael Berry with Huddleston – Berry Engineering & Testing, LLC will continue with our Western Slope offerings.  We look forward to working with Bill Caires and the employees of Cesare, Inc as we continue to strengthen and enhance our program.  Additionally, we have negotiated a discount of up to 70% for online ASTM training products until December 31, 2014.  Take advantage of the huge discount, while improving the knowledge of the testing process.
  • Also, I want to mention our Annual Conference, which this year will be held at the Broadmoor in Colorado Springs on November 20 & 21.  This will be the first time in many years that the Colorado Ready Mixed Concrete Association and the Colorado Stone, Sand & Gravel Association will hold their annual conferences side by side.  With the theme of “Strength in Numbers”, we continue to work with CSSGA and other like-minded trade associations to make positive contributions to our industries.  Several of our speakers are nationally recognized as we continue to build excitement and recognition for our industry.  Hopefully we will see you there. Please remember that this Wednesday, November 5 is the last day to receive early bird pricing on this event.
  • Also, we have included a Social Media Spotlight in this month’s eNews edition.  Many people are unaware of the advancements we have made in this area.  Like us on Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn.

Thanks to all our members involved in CRMCA committees and their ongoing support of our industry!  Please contact myself, Stacy or Annelise if there is something more we can do to help your business.  To reach the CRMCA offices, call 303-290-0303 or crmca@crmca.org.
