Hello CRMCA members and those involved in the concrete industry.  It looks like the winter weather finally arrived!!!!  The recent snow storms brought much needed moisture, but plenty of problems along the way.  Must be a Colorado spring!!!!  Here is a brief update of happenings at CRMCA.

  • I am very pleased to report that our new Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter pages are up and running.  I welcome everyone to explore this exciting update.  Annelise has worked very closely with our contractor of choice, Calyx Social Media, to launch the sites and begin correspondence.  Over the coming months we will have educational sessions regarding the use of them.  This will assist those of us less familiar (yours truly) in proper usage.  Look for more information to follow.
  • As many of you know, we continue our objective to continually improve fresh concrete testing and initial curing with our Adherence Program.  To assist with this, our new app is readily available for iPhone and Android users to record testing and capture field information via pictures.  If you haven’t downloaded and used the APP, contact our office to register.
  • I also welcome you to read the CRMCA Market Committee Blog by Stacy Ehrlick.  There are many exciting projects underway and she explains them in a clear and concise manner.
  • This year, our Concrete Day at the Capitol is scheduled for Friday, April 29.  Our Colorado Governor, John Hickenlooper, is scheduled to attend; so show up for the event to spread the message to the Governor and other elected officials how important concrete is to the state of Colorado.
  • Lastly, be sure to save the date for this year’s Summer Conference. This year, the event will be held in Steamboat Springs on July 28 & 29.  This is a great time to learn more about CRMCA, network with associates, and enjoy various parts of our beautiful state.  Hope to see you there. Registration will be available soon.

As usual, contact Annelise, Stacy or me for more information.  Thank you.
